All other sources of US currents use old NOAA data to display current predictions at isolated points. There is simply no way to interpolate between these relatively few and randomly scattered points, which are useless for routing, layline corrections and other current-
dependent calculations. We develop high-
resolution, hydrodynamically sound current models that build in shorelines and obstacles and support unique tactical computations.
Our programs allow the racer to input constant wind values for local tactical computations, or to use detailed wind-prediction files. Our Wind Model utility converts standard grib files into editable format and supports user-defined models. We also supply very-high resolution wind files for major races.
