Advantage Demo Downloads

The Downloads below are DEMOS, which will be authorized for a limited period. The DEMOS have full functions, but come with only a subset of the charts provided with a purchase of the corresponding region. All programs come with the Local Knowledge current model for the applicable region (annual tidal-current model or sample satellite-derived ocean current model for the Bermuda Race or Sydney-Hobart).

NOTE ON CURRENTS: Only Advantage has been designed to properly incorporate tidal-currents into short-range tactical computations (laylines, times to laylines, comparative tack sequences). In venues with strong currents, such as San Francisco Bay, an accurate mathematical model of currents and correct computational techniques are essential. Local Knowledge provides detailed current models for numerous locations in the United States, Canada and Europe which are integrated with Advantage software.

This is a full working version of Advantage, with our high-resolution San Francisco Bay region tidal currents, detailed charts and past years' Pacific wind model files to use for practice in weather routing. You can also convert present-day wind gribs to use in routing.
