OFFCHART RACER: SAN FRAN & PACIFIC CUP DEMO DOWNLOAD

Offchart Racer is a global navigation, tactics and routing program that supports our current-prediction modules and wind models (including grib files). It includes our Chartmaker utility to convert any graphic image into a chart.

The 2006 Edition comes with the instrument interface, stripcharts and other key functions of our top-ranked Force 4 tactical program, including the unique "Best-Tack" function, to provide support for buoy racing as well as ocean racing.

ONLY our software can perform meaningful tactical computations in venues with significant differential currents, such as San Francisco Bay. Our unique routing function is useful for local races, computing optimal routes in differential current, as well as for long ocean races, where both wind and current are a factor. This is ideal for races out the Gate or for the BBS.

The San Francisco/Pacific Cup DEMO includes our tidal-current model and charts for San Francisco Bay & San Pablo Bay, plus charts and wind data from the 2000, 2002 and 2004 Pacifc Cup, and the 2003 Transpac. With this data you can replay the tactical decisions in these Pacific races and evaluate "OR" for use in this year's Pacific Cup.

Additional charts and data for the Pacific Cup will be provided after you purchase OR. Purchasers of Offchart Racer will receive high-resolution wind data for the Pacific Cup, without additional charge.

DOWNLOAD SETUP FOR 32-BIT DATA INTERFACE (optional)

If you will input instrument data from Ockam's OS4 or other 32-bit software (such as a virtual serial port), you need the 32-bit version of the Local Knowledge Data Facility. You can add this at any point. You select between the (default) 16-bit and 32-bit interface on the GPS Link menu of the tactical program. If you select 32-bit, you will be prompted to install it if you have not done this previously.

TO DOWNLOAD THE 32-BIT INSTRUMENT INTERFACE:  CLICK HERE

GPS/INSTRUMENT INTERFACE comes with data to run in SIMULATION. To see how the interface works, even without data connection, respond 'Yes' to opening the GPS link and choose the Simulation button on the interface form.
Offchart Racer comes with a set of routing charts for your region, and includes the Chartmaker facility to create your own charts. PLUS, you can download additional sets of FREE charts, now posted at the OR download page.
